Open Doors Music (ODM) is a Texas Non-Profit Music Education Organization.
Founded by Gavin Audagnotti, Open Doors Music's vision, is that every disadvantaged child, from an impoverished background, be given the opportunity to channel their God given talents and creative energies through learning and playing music.
We believe, that by empowering people, through learning and playing music, they acquire the skills necessary to lift themselves from poverty, and create an independent and successful life for themselves.
Our mission.
Provide music education resources to established ministries and humanitarian organizations serving disadvantaged children.

for in the patterns of music and all the arts
are the keys of learning." -- Plato
Open Doors Music's Music Education Programs (ODMMEP)
An ODMMEP, is a turn-key, technology driven music education solution that seamlessly integrates into an existing learning environment, like a school classroom or as a stand alone solution where no school or classroom exists.
Classroom Environment.
An
ODMMEP classroom environment is an "intellegent music technology lab" comprising of a teacher station and multiple student stations. A station can be a keyboard workstation, guitar kiosk, audio recording lab or a combination of these. Teachers can communicate with one student or the whole group through a group education contoller.
Students have access to caring, trained professional teachers, an organized internationally recognised music curriculum/syllabus, musical instruments, interactive music teaching software, supplementary online music video lessons, audio recording hardware/software and participate in live performances.
ODM's goal is to where possible, and practical, implement all facets of the intelligent classroom, however, in some countries the absence of internet connectivity or sufficient facilities may limit the technology aspect of the classroom but in no way dimish the results of the program or care of the teachers.
Curriculum/Syllabus.
Open Doors Music uses RGT curriculum for electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar and popular music theory. RGT organizes internationally recognized examinations in electric, classical and bass guitar - from total beginner to Diploma level - in partnership with London College of Music Exams LCM (one of the world's most respected music examination boards, established since 1887) and certified by Thames Valley University.
ODM works closely with The London College of Music Examinations. ODM has selected LCM as a curriculum/syllabus outsource partner. This affords ODM the unique opportunity to offer any type of curriculum/syllabus.
LCM Examinations is an international examinations board offering graded and diploma qualifications in music and in drama & communication. Examinations are held at over 250 centres worldwide, and are unique in the graded examinations world in being awarded by a university.
A Global Reach.
ODM is currently in discussion with CMIA in Kenya and with CFI India about ODM's music education resources.
ODM answers poverty.
Poverty is a thief that has many faces. People from impoverished backgrounds have been deprived from most opportunities we take for granted.
They face hunger and health issues every day of their lives. They live in areas and communities not connected with society where they can have a chance to acquire and develop skills necessary to enable them to lift themselves from poverty.
We firmly believe, by bringing our music education resources alongside the organizations that rescue the poor from their plight, we are able to help move the disadvantaged communities one step closer to living life independently and free from poverty.
We also believe, as individuals move from poverty, they can raise the standards of living for their family and members of their community as well.
Advocacy for music education and making music.
Music is fun to learn and play!
There's a mountain of scientific evidence that music instruction improves brain development and increases test scores among school children. Research has shown that learning to play an instrument can help develop parts of the brain that are necessary for math and science reasoning.
"I've come up with the theory that the music is within.
